Fill-weight control
Closed-loop checkweigher feedback that automatically adjusts filler output, reducing overfill while maintaining compliance with declared-weight requirements.

Overview
Filling lines are typically set above declared weight to avoid underweight packs and the compliance risk they carry. Across high production volumes, that margin represents a significant and recurring material cost.
Fill-weight control closes the loop between the checkweigher and the filler. Fill weights are trended in real time and the filler is adjusted automatically, allowing the target to be set closer to declared weight with confidence.
Typical applications
- Auger, volumetric and gravimetric fillers for powders, granules and liquids
- Lines with an existing checkweigher, or with one planned
- Packers operating under Australian trade measurement requirements for packaged goods
Industries
The process in three steps
- 1
Weigh
Each pack is weighed in-line by the checkweigher and the result passed to the controller.
- 2
Analyse
The controller trends fill weights and identifies drift before it affects compliance.
- 3
Correct
Filler output is adjusted in small increments during production, without stopping the line.
