Power and pump monitoring
Alerts for power failures, stopped pumps, tripped circuits, generators and demand peaks, installed under our electrical licence.
Request a site assessmentMost site failures show up first in the electrical system: a supply drops out, a breaker trips, a pump draws the wrong current, a generator fails to start. Monitoring these signals gives an alert before the consequence, such as a dry tank or a loss of ventilation, is discovered.
We fit current sensors, supply monitors and auxiliary contacts in switchboards and pump controls under QLD Electrical Contractor Licence 1513082, and report them through a battery-backed gateway so that a power failure alert still gets out.
What we monitor
- Mains supply and phase loss
- Pump and motor current
- Breaker, RCD and surge protection status
- Generator start and changeover
- Electricity demand
General manufacturing
- Sub metering: see what each line and each tonne costs in powerSub-meters on each feeder of a factory switchboard show idle load, demand peaks and kWh per tonne, with alerts sent by SMS or email.
- Power factor correction unit failed? Know today, not at invoice timeCurrent sensors on each capacitor step and the controller alarm contact report a failed power factor correction step by SMS before it raises the kVA demand charge.
- kVA demand charges: get a text before one half hour sets the monthA power meter on the main board projects each half hour of kVA demand and sends an SMS or email before a restart sets the monthly peak.
Poultry, pigs and dairy
- Power failure alarm for sheds: a text the minute the mains goesAn independent, battery-backed mains-loss sensor and gateway for sheds and dairies, with Starlink or 4G backhaul and SMS alerts to the people you nominate.
- Poultry farm demand charge: a text before the half hour closesA kVA meter on the main board of a poultry, pig or dairy farm texts you before one half hour sets the month's demand charge, so you can stagger starts.
Cotton gins, sugar mills and grain handling
- Gin power factor correction: find the dead step before the seasonStep by step monitoring of the power factor correction bank at gins, mills and grain sites, with an SMS when a capacitor step stops delivering before the peak months.
- Cotton gin demand charges: stop Monday's start setting the monthGins and mills pay for their single worst half hour each month. We install kVA monitoring that warns the shift lead before a start-up sets it.
